Meet The Team - Manalapan

Mary Valinotti – Max Manager & Instructor
Mary Valinotti has proudly served The MAX Challenge of Manalapan for over 12 years, growing from Fitness Instructor to Manager. She leads and mentors a dedicated team while overseeing daily operations and delivering an exceptional member experience. Prior to her career in fitness, Mary spent seven years in Manhattan working in executive recruiting within the publishing and IT industries, specializing in research, interviewing, and hiring top talent. A former basketball captain and youth coach, Mary brings strong leadership and team-building skills to her role. She also enjoys participating in 5K and obstacle races, reflecting her passion for fitness beyond the studio. Mary earned her M.A. in Public Opinion & Survey Research and her B.A. in Political Science from University of Connecticut. A proud mom of five, she is deeply committed to creating a positive, supportive environment where every member feels motivated and empowered for success.
Erin Harris -Max Instructor
Erin Harris’s journey with The MAX began just like many members; searching for something more than just a workout and discovering so much more in the process. She didn’t just find fitness; she found her voice, her strength, and a community that changed everything. Now a certified NASM group and personal trainer, Erin is passionate about helping others feel strong, capable, and confident. Her high-energy, uplifting classes blend challenge with encouragement, rooted in the belief that real growth happens when you’re pushed in a supportive, positive environment. Erin’s mission is simple and powerful: to help members build lasting strength, unshakable confidence, and the consistency to keep showing up for themselves.
Rada Blackwell – Max Instructor
Rada Blackwell joined The MAX during a season of frustration, feeling disconnected from her body and ready for change. About 30 pounds over where she wanted to be, she committed to the 10-Week Challenge for discipline and structure — and it transformed her life. What began as her personal breakthrough quickly became her passion. Rada became a coach and then an instructor, bringing intensity, precision, and heart to every class. NASM certified, a 200-hour yoga teacher, and a medical professional with a strong background in anatomy, she is deeply focused on body mechanics, proper form, and intentional hard work. Her style is high-energy, focused, and results-driven. At Rada’s classes, members work hard — and she is fully invested in their transformation.
Jen Bianco – Max Instructor
Jen Bianco is proud to be an instructor at The MAX Challenge, but her journey began just like many of the members she now teaches. She first joined with a simple goal in mind: to complete the 10-week program before an upcoming vacation to Jamaica. She quickly fell in love with the community, the energy, and the workouts, changing a short-term goal to something much bigger. This positive momentum inspired her to stay involved and eventually become an instructor. Today, Jen brings that same enthusiasm to every class she leads. Her mission is to remind every member that they are capable of more than they think; because together, they are MAX Strong.
Morgan Sherman – Max Instructor
Morgan was a dedicated member at The MAX for several years before becoming an instructor, experiencing firsthand the impact of a supportive and motivating community. What began as a personal fitness journey grew into a passion for helping others feel strong, confident, and capable. Outside of the gym, she works as a speech-language pathologist and brings that same commitment to building confidence and supporting growth into every class. She is dedicated to creating an encouraging environment where all members feel challenged, supported, and proud of their progress.
Kathy Boyle – Max Instructor 

Kathy has been a dedicated MAX of Manalapan member since March 2013. After many years of participating in classes, she pursued her passion for fitness by becoming a certified instructor in 2022. She is currently known as the go-to “substitute teacher” when she is in New Jersey. Kathy and her husband have spent the past three seasons as snowbirds in Delray Beach, where she enjoys playing golf, walking her dog, and maintaining her daily fitness routine. Passionate about helping others, Kathy loves supporting members in reaching their goals in both fitness and nutrition. She looks forward to seeing you on the mat; whether she’s leading the class or working out right alongside you.

Meet The Team - Marlboro

Adelina Sgambati – Max Manager
Adelina discovered The MAX Challenge after moving to Manalapan. At the time, she was an overworked teacher, a busy mom of two, a smoker, and weighed 210 lbs. During her first 10 Week Challenge, she lost 40 lbs; losing a total of 85 over time. What truly transformed, however, was her strength and self-belief. Today, Adelina is a NASM AFAA Certified Group Fitness Instructor and the Lead Instructor at MAX Marlboro. She brings that same energy, empathy, and support into every class she leads. Her mission is simple: meet people where they are, and push them beyond their limits by showing them the power of themselves and their community.
Tamila Osher – Max Instructor
For years, Tamila considered herself a professional yo-yo dieter and gym hopper who secretly hated working out. As her kids grew older, she realized she wanted to set an example by practicing what she preached. In September 2017, she was convinced to try MAX, and everything shifted. Instead of chasing diets, Tamila began focusing on health from the inside out and quickly fell in love. After years of growth she became an instructor in September 2024 and now gives back to the program that changed her life. Her mission is to ensure every member has fun, learns proper form, gives their best effort, and feels supported; because it’s not just about building stronger bodies, it’s about building a family. 
Joanna Terraciano – Max Instructor 
Joanna has been part of The MAX family for more than thirteen years, beginning as a member and now proudly leading classes. She is passionate about helping members push their limits while creating an energetic and supportive environment. When she looks in the mirror, Joanna sees a strong, resilient woman who has raised three incredible children and continues to grow both personally and professionally.The dedication and perseverance of her members motivates her every day. Together, they are a community built on encouragement, accountability, and shared victories.
Lissette Ramirez – Max Instructor
Lissette joined The MAX in June 2023 hoping to ease knee pain and lose the weight she had gained while working from home. She came into her trial class looking to get stronger and more active, but instead found a place where she was welcomed like family by  members and supported by coaches who believed in her. The MAX changed her life, and becoming an instructor has given Lissette the opportunity to give that same energy back to the members and team who lifted her up. Most importantly, she hopes to be a role model for her son by showing him what commitment, resilience, and showing up for others truly looks like.
JP Bartolomeo – Max Instructor
JP has been part of The MAX family since the very beginning; previously owning The MAX of Marlboro while also remaining a dedicated member over the years. He still enjoys stepping in to teach, driven by the opportunity to inspire the community to uncover their true potential. His passion for fitness fuels his commitment to lead by example. JP strives to live an active, healthy lifestyle while encouraging others to do the same. For him, the greatest reward is watching members grow stronger, more confident, and full of energy throughout their journey at The MAX.

Meet The Team - Freehold

Casey Fillian – Max Instructor
Casey has been in the fitness industry for 34 years. Prior to The MAX, she owned and operated a Spin/TRX studio and traveled the country as a trainer to the trainers. Her certifications range from Group Fitness to Personal Training and include Massage Therapy as well. She loves to choreograph group classes that encourage members to explore their personal fitness while continuing to grow on their journey. As a coach, the most important thing to her will always be making sure the members leave the mat feeling better than when they came.
Mike Penn – Max Instructor
Mike has over 20 years of experience in physical education, bringing a lifetime of movement, motivation, and high-energy teaching to the group fitness space. He is passionate about training that builds confidence, improves performance, and elevates every aspect of daily life. Whether it’s improving mobility, gaining power, or developing healthy habits, he believes fitness should make you feel unstoppable—inside and out. Mike’s mission is to energize, empower, and inspire every individual to move with purpose, train with passion, and build a stronger version of themselves through positive, athletic, and results-driven fitness experiences.
Erin Harris – Max Instructor
Erin Harris’s journey with The MAX began just like many members; searching for something more than just a workout and discovering so much more in the process. Jennifer Nietupski – Max Instructor
Jennifer joined The MAX Challenge more than 10 years ago as a member. Having worked out consistently for most of her life, she was excited to experience the structure and energy of group fitness classes. She quickly discovered a community that encouraged her and pushed her in ways she hadn’t been challenged in a long time. The experience reawakened the fighting and competitive spirit she had always possessed, which had been set aside for a time while raising her two young boys. Within two years, Jennifer began training to become an instructor and soon discovered a passion for motivating and helping others reach their goals. She spent more than eight years as an instructor in Howell before finding a new home at The MAX of Freehold, where she continues to inspire, challenge, and support members on their fitness journeys. As she often says, “You never know until you try—and you almost always surprise yourself when you do!!”
